Diagnosing Motivational Needs Systems The Magellan Decision Scale© This instrument measures the relative strength of six different motivational need systems: Action Needs, Analysis Needs, Influence Needs, Membership Needs, Relationship Needs, and Consistency Needs. Based on the analysis of need systems, this instrument provides information that helps people position their management, leadership, and communications behavior to gain the support and commitment of others. It is available in both self scoring and external feedback forms, and is the only Magellan GMR instrument that cannot be tailored for individual clients.
